Description This program is designed to develop participant’s skills to be able to better sell themselves and their ideas by employing appropriate writing techniques. To cater for general business writing and specifically report writing using a prescribed format

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Select the appropriate communication medium for their message
  • Apply modern business writing functions, formats and key strategies to their memos, letters and reports
  • Use the appropriate style and tone to match their message
  • Produce more effective reports and proposals to get their message across using a prescribed format

  • Back to basics-spelling, punctuation & grammar
  • Modern business writing – format, function and key strategies for writing letters, memos and reports

  • Staff who wish to improve their general writing skills
  • Staff who wish to produce more effective reports and proposals whether to influence internal customers and colleagues or external customers.
Attendees Maximum of 12 participants recommended.
Delivery Style Syndicate group work, group discussions; one on one feedback discussions
Duration 1-2 days subject to customers requirement for tailoring
Prerequisites Literacy in the English language.
  • Flipchart, overhead projector and whiteboard
  • Room large enough to accommodate up to 12 people in small clusters of tables or horseshoe shape of chairs.
